Event description

Description

Join artist Lizzy Simpson at RMIT Gallery in her cross-media installation ‘you shares me shares…..everything’ [a conglomeration of stuff and things], as part of the Bruised: Art Action and Ecology in Asia exhibition, which examines how artists are using creative actions to open discussions around food sustainability and production, environmental catastrophes and human migration in our region.

Through using such materials as compost and displaying living things in her work ‘you shares me shares…..everything’, Lizzy presents a tale of constant mutability.

In her artist talk, Lizzy shares food and welcomes conversation. The many wondrous things presented prompt stories of our enmeshed, often distanced, relationship with things with which we coexist. Come along and share!

Bruised: Art Action and Ecology in Asia is part of the of ART+CLIMATE=CHANGE 2019 23 April–19 May, a socially-engaged festival of exhibitions, theatre works, keynote lectures, events and artist talks considering climate change impacts and the challenges and opportunities arising from climate change.
