Event description

Description

Do you want to understand how Project Bank Accounts (PBAs) work to protect subcontractors' payments and retention monies?

The Queensland Government has introduced Project Bank Accounts to improve security of payment in the building and construction industry.

If you tender or subcontract for work on State Government building and construction projects these changes may affect you.

This information session will provide an overview of how Project Bank Accounts work to protect subcontractors' payments, including:

  • How subcontractors will be paid from a project bank account

  • How your retention monies will be protected by the trust accounts

  • What forms and notices you should expect to receive about the project bank account

  • What you can do if you are not paid or have other disputes with your head contractor

Who should attend?

This information session will highlight the key points for subcontractors and subconsultants participating in project bank accounts.

The information session may also be useful for head contractors, consultants, superintendents and project managers who are interested in learning more about how project bank accounts work.

Please note: on-site parking is available, as well as street parking. Light refreshments will be provided.

For more information, visit HPW Security of Payment website or phone 07 3008 2584.
