Description

First Peoples: bush foods, useful plants and arts & crafts

Explore how Australia's First Peoples used and respected prescious natural resources.

During this event you will:

  • discover useful plants and tools
  • make bush string
  • taste bush food (Participants with food allergies or special diets may wish to refrain from taking part in the short bush foods tasting session. Please inform staff before the activity starts.)
  • paint an art and craft boomerange to take home

Note: All children must be accompanied by an adult carer.

What to wear and bring
Safety requirements apply. All participants should wear sun-smart clothing including a hat and secure fully enclosed shoes.

You should bring with you sunscreen, insect repellent and a raincoat (if needed), drinking water and a small morning-tea snack.
