LEARN HOW TO PHOTOGRAPH BEAUTIFUL IMAGES IN NATURAL LIGHT

This workshop is designed to introduce you to the concepts of photographing in natural light & learning how to shape and control light. Learn how to take beautiful images featuring golden light, and understand and learn how adapt to photographing in back-lighting and front-lighting

How to sign up: The natural light photography course is typically a 4 hour photography workshop and is $150 per person.

Please register your interest below for Sunday 4 March from 2pm-6pm to be held at the Mount Coot-tha Botanical Gardens. We keep our workshop numbers limited to ensure each attendee gets personal attention with owners Andy & Em.

In this course you will learn how to take control of the natural light environment using reflective surfaces in buildings, walls around you, photographic reflectors, scrims as well as using camera settings and metering techniques to overcome some of the pitfalls of shooting in natural light but also bringing out the beauty.

About Life Portraits

What will I learn on the coures?

This workshop is designed to introduce you to the concepts of photographing in natural light and learning how to shape and control light. This can be done through the use of the natural and man made environment around you as well as light shapers (such as reflectors and scrims).

We will also learn camera and metering techniques to deal with harsh and contrasty light. In this course you will learn how to take control of the natural light environment using reflective surfaces in buildings, walls around you, photographic reflectors, scrims as well as using camera settings and metering techniques to overcome some of the pitfalls of shooting in natural light.


What do I bring to the workshop?

Course participants will have their own digital SLR or high end compact/mirrorless camera. A range of reflectors and natural light shapers will be on hand to use and participants are encouraged to bring their own if they wish. Participants must also bring their camera and instruction manual with them or notify the LP team in advance if their manuals are lost so pdf versions can be downloaded before the course as well as notebook/pen and charged battery and SD for their cameras.


Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

16 years and older is allowed on the course, under 16 requires an adult/gauridan.

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

There is lots of free parking at Mount Cooth-tha botanical gardens.

Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable?

If you cannot make the workshop for some reason, your ticket is not refundable however can be transferred to someone else or can be used by you on another day. You may wish to purchase this ticket as a gift which is perfectly fine, just send us an email to let us know the name of the person attending.
