Documentation 'If it wasn't documented it didn't happen' - MBS compliance requires medical notes to be written at the time of consultation and to comply with the MBS requirements for the item number billed. We provide you with an easy to follow framework for documentation and billing, as well as shortcuts to save time

We teach you the rules of combination billing and for those who have been to our workshops previously, this will be a great revision session to enable you to further evolve your billing practices

PRESENTERS: Dr April Armstrong is a UWA graduate of Medicine and works in General Practice in Kalgoorlie Western Australia. She is passionate about the business of medicine. She is the founder of the Business for Doctors concept and social media group. April was awarded the WA Telstra Business Woman of the Year 2015 in the start-up category and her rural practice, Collins Street Surgery nominated for the WA Telstra Business Awards 2015. She has developed strategies and methods in investing and business management
Dr Lily Vrtik is a plastic surgeon who graduated from the Medical Faculty of University of Western Australia in 1999. She spent the early years of surgical training in Perth, and completed her last two years of Plastic Surgery training in Queensland. In 2002, she spent 12 months working at the world-renowned Chang-Gung Memorial Hospital in Taiwan with experience in trauma, burns and cancer reconstructive surgery.Lily has public appointments at Mater Hospital Brisbane and Princess Alexandra hospital. She started private practice in 2009. Lily enjoys her work immensely and performs a wide range of general plastic surgical procedures. In particular, she has special interests in both cosmetic and reconstructive breast and body surgery. She also enjoys non-surgical facial rejuvenation procedures including botox and injectables. She has worked with the BFD team presenting since 2017 and covers areas of compliance, advertising, marketing, procedures and "finding your niche"
Saru Chifadza (RN) was born in Zimbabwe and studied a Bachelor of Nursing and Midwifery in South Africa before migrating to Australia as a dependent of her old brother who was working for BHP. A baptism by fire with her first nursing post in aged care and then general medical ward in Mt Isa gave her an immense appreciation for the work of rural doctors. In 2015 she joined Priority Health Group in Emerald as an RN and completed her Diploma of OH&S as well as training as a nurse injector. Her excellent management skills have accelerated her career in management and her role at Priority Health has taken more of a management lead in the last 12 months. She is married with two sons aged 8 & 4 years old and is passionate about quality health care in a sustainable business environment. She joined BFD MBS Education in 2020 as a presenter and we are very excited to have her as part of our MBS clinical and administration education team.
