About the speaker:

Bruce is the managing partner at Page Provan. Prior to that he was a partner at Harrington Family Lawyers from July 2007.Bruce specialises in all areas of Family Law, including:

  • Mediation
  • De facto relationship law
  • Divorce law

Bruce obtained a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Laws with Honours from the University of Queensland and was admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland in 1991.Becoming a Queensland Law Society accredited family law specialist in 1999, Bruce has practiced exclusively in family law since 2002.Bruce qualified as a Nationally Accredited Mediator in November 2016 after completing the Bond University Basic Mediation Course and Mediation Assessment Course. He is also a trained Collaborative Lawyer and is a member of the Queensland Association of Collaborative Practitioners.Bruce has a particular interest in property matters. He has had a variety of professional experience including working in chartered accounting firms in tax and insolvency. He has written articles for the Queensland Law Society magazine Proctor and the financial planners’ magazine IFA.

The CPD scheme is based on self-assessment of the educational activity by the practitioner. If you find it extends your knowledge and skills in areas that are relevant to your immediate or long term needs in relation to your professional development and practice of law then you can claim the activity for CPD units. You should refer to Rule 7 for the criteria in assessing an activity and Rules 8 and 9 for the amount of units that can be claimed for an activity.
