CONFUSED BY YOUR DIGITAL SLR?

Unlock the mysteries of your DSLR and take control of ISO, Shutter Speed and Aperture to realise the full potential of your camera and your own creativity and imagination!

How to sign up: The beginners photography course is typically a 6 hour photography and is $200 per person.

Please register your interest below for Friday 23 March from 10am-4pm to be held at the Queensland State Library at South Bank, Meeting Room 4D. We keep our workshop numbers limited to ensure each attendee gets personal attention with owners Andy & Em.

This course is designed to introduce you to the concepts of ISO, aperture and shutter speed, how they relate to each other, the effects they have on your image and how you can use them to unlock the full potential of your camera and your imagination to truly launch you on your photographic journey.

In this beginner course we will spend the first 2-3 hours on theory and then go out and put into practice what we have learnt and offer you support and guidance with one-on-one assistance to answer any questions.

FAQs

What will I learn on the coures?

This course is designed to introduce you to the concepts of ISO, aperture and shutter speed, how they relate to each other, the effects they have on your image and how you can use them to unlock the full potential of your camera and your imagination to truly launch you on your photographic journey.


What do I bring to the workshop?

Course participants will have their own digital SLR or high end compact/mirrorless camera. Participants must also bring their camera and instruction manual with them or notify the LP team in advance if their manuals are lost so pdf versions can be downloaded before the course as well as notebook/pen and charged battery and SD for their cameras.


Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

16 years and older is allowed on the course, under 16 requires an adult/gauridan.


What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

There is all day parking under the state library for $16 or a number of buses/trains to the area for public transport.

Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable?

If you cannot make the workshop for some reason, your ticket is not refundable however can be transferred to someone else or can be used by you on another day. You may wish to purchase this ticket as a gift which is perfectly fine, just send us an email to let us know the name of the person attending.
