Experience the premier performance of Hypnotica, a synthesis of ancient and contemporary improvised sound and movement. Developed through the BrisAsia LIVE creative residency program the performance piece draws inspiration from the sounds and rhythms of traditional Sundanese music of West Java, Indonesia. Featuring traditional Indonesian musician Efiq Zulfiqar, experimental percussionist Yvette Agapow, circus artist/physical performer Mayu Moto, violinist Flora Wong, guitarist/composer Dr Anthony Garcia and a collective of emerging artist fellows Hypnotica explores themes of transcendence and transformation through the prism of experimentalism and intercultural collaboration.
