Reconnect with what really matters

Live a life you love

Bringing Mindfulness to Life (BMTL) short course aims to bring mindfulness to daily life wherever you are. The course will increase your self-awareness and equip you with daily life skills to:

  • deal with stress and stressful situations
  • procrastinate less and get more done
  • let-go of worrying and other un-helpful habits
  • live with greater calm, clarity and confidence

Designed and taught by Dr Sharn Rocco, this unique short course synthesizes theory and practices from Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), traditional calm abiding meditation and Sharn’s years of teaching, study and practice in Australia, USA, France and Norway.

Sharn created this course in response to numerous pleas from busy people whose schedules prohibited them from attending eight consecutive classes, or from those who wanted a short refresher or taster course. Since its pilot in 2014, BMTL has been offered in different locations all across Eastern Australia benefitting hundreds of people.

The Program

The Bringing Mmindfulness To Life (BMTL) short course consists of four, two-hour weekly classes that support daily practice with a comprehensive course handbook.

Each class includes

  • information and instruction related to the theory and practice of mindfulness and its application to daily life
  • guided mindfulness meditations
  • small and larger group activities, discussions and reflection focused on applying mindfulness to everyday situations
  • recommendations for on-going practice between classes
