Bring Your Kids to Work

Bring your kids to work to be inspired, challenged and educated with Science, Maths, Engieering and Technology. Suited to 10 to 16 year olds.

This 2 hr session starts with a 15 minute talk by the amazing Marita Cheng, Entrepreneur, Visionary, Founder of RoboGals, and Young Aussie of the Year. Marita will talk about "Teaching our Kids to me Makers" and about her impressive road to becoming the founder and CEO of Aubot, which makes a telepresence robot for kids with cancer in hospital to attend school. Marita has been recognised on a global scale including as a Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia in 2016.

Following Marita's talk, you are free to spend the rest of your time exploring the interactive expos in CBP South and North plazas.

Optional workshops
There are also optional workshops you can attend, but you must register separately for these limited-availability seesions.

ThinkUKnow, run by the AFP with partners such as CommBank, is a cyber safety program for Australian parents, carers and teachers and students. It will provide you with the tools to create a safer online environment for young people in your care. Register here (note: adults only).

Laughter Workshops are a great way to bond with your kids and teens. Laughter promotes connection, joy, lighheartedness and positivity. It also helps with stress; and this session aims to build resiliency by teaching some skills to help reduce stress, worry and anxiety -- a great life lesson for today's high peforming teens.
