Event description
How is breakthrough research delivering new personalised therapies to improve breast cancer survival?

About this Event

Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in Australia, with eight women dying from the disease every day. Its incidence is increasing with 1 in 7 Australian women and 1 in 675 Australian men expected to be diagnosed in their lifetime.

However, breast cancer research is undergoing a rapid revolution with genomics, DNA sequencing and immunotherapy driving innovation and advances in the diagnosis and personalised treatment of breast cancer.

Our panel will discuss the latest breast cancer research and how these insights are delivering new treatment approaches to improve breast cancer survival. Plus they’ll explain a new strategy to empower breast cancer radiotherapy patients to protect their hearts during treatment.
