About this event
As an active and caring member of our community we would like to invite you to participate in the following community workshop:
VIMAUNA (Breaking the Silence)
With the aim to break the silence on and create awareness of domestic and family violence.
The project aims to:
- Raise awareness about the prevalence of family violence and abuse
- Initiate discussions on the impact of such behaviour in the context of violence and abuse
- Explore gender norms, attitudes and other cultural issues that contribute to violence and identify the root causes for such behaviour
The session will conclude with a short discussion about the issue from cultural and religious perspectives
