Event description
Join us for a meaningful conversation about how we're working to break the bias and fight for women's equality.

About this event

The Australian Volunteers Program invites you to join us for a conversation on the role we can all play in breaking the bias and supporting the fight for women's equality.

Come along for afternoon tea and a chance to network with volunteers and colleagues from other organisations, the Australian Volunteers Program, and the international development sector.

Beth Eggleston from the Humanitarian Advisory Group will lead a panel discussion with Clarissa Laulala from Independent Water Schemes Association in Samoa, Devotha Mlay from Girls Livelhood and Mentorship Initiative (GLAMI) in Tanzania, and Huong Dang from HopeBox in Vietnam. Drawing on their combined years of experience and expertise, the panel will share their insights on how we can all work towards breaking the bias in our communities.

The event will also include a live performance Kee'Ahn, a proud Kuku Yalanji, Jirrbal, Zenadh Kes song woman, and an address by Australia’s Ambassador for Women and Girls, Ms Christine Clarke.

This event listing is for people who can join us in-person at the Arts Centre in Melbourne. The formal proceedings will be streamed on Zoom, please register via the online presentation event listing if you'd prefer to attend online.

Formal proceedings will commence at 4pm.

Please note: in line with government directions, all visitors to this event must be fully vaccinated or have a valid medical exemption.
