Breaking into the International Service Design Community - Tales from Austr...
Date and time
Description
Ever wanted to know what it takes to break in to the international service design scene?
Well you're in luck.
One of our very own Service Design Melbourne members Adam Cochrane has done just that.
Come and hear Adam share his experience over the past three years which have involved:
- moving from local studies to an international project
- living abroad and finding a 'job'
- becoming involved (possibly too much according to Adam) in the Berlin service design community
- and having a blast in the process.
Originally from Melbourne, Adam Cochrane is a service designer in Berlin working for Goodpatch, a UI / UX design agency from Tokyo. Yes, it all sounds a bit too international but Berlin is that kind of place, it’s hectic being, doing, and not just saying.
Currently dwelling at the intersection of UX and Service design Adam is an irregular regular in the service design community in Berlin. He is on the organising team of JamBerlin.org and often can be found contributing to events like ThingsCon, Service Experience Camp and other design events as well as attending many others.
Adam is fun, visual, curious, and has a contagious enthusiasm. He is passionate about creating extraordinary user experiences. Having recently finished up with Deutsche Telekom’s Creation Centre and visiting Tokyo he heads down under once again to say hello and talk about service design and its community.
