Event description
Join the ANU's Sustainable Farms team and CSU Green for a morning walk/talk, looking at birds and how to conserve them on farms

About this Event

Join Sustainable Farms and our partner, CSU Green, to learn more about birds on farms. See examples of how to enhance a farm’s natural assets, which can also benefit stock, and enjoy a breakfast with the birds.

Clare Crane, Research and Extension Officer, Sustainable Farms ANU will lead an informal bird walk along a section of vegetated creekline on the CSU farm and point out some of the regions beautiful birds, speak on some of the birds on farms research findings the ANU has unearthed over the last 20 years and discuss ways for enhancing bird life to agricultural areas.

Please join us after the bird walk for a casual and friendly breakfast BBQ; register your attendance at the link on this page. We thank our generous hosts at CSU Green and the CSU Farm for inviting us onto the property.

Things to bring include binoculars (if you have them), practical foot wear, a hat and water (we will be walking around paddocks); although drinks will be provided at the meeting point. The event is free and children are welcome and encouraged to get involved. Please check registration confirmation details for the meeting point.
