Description

David Campese is a household name in rugby. Many view David as one of the greatest and most entertaining rugby players to have ever graced the rugby field. Representing Australia for 15 years and New South Wales for 11 years, he achieved and still holds the world record for the most tries in a test match (64).

To add to his credentials, he was the first player in Australian history to play 101 tests for his country and is one out of only 5 players worldwide that has achieved over 100 games for their country.

David’s resounding impact on the game is still evident in his controversial yet consistently accurate opinion of the game which continues to entertain and resonate throughout the international rugby world.

David now travels the world as a key note speaker and has also launched the David Campese Rugby Academy which provides coaching consultancy to rugby clubs, schools, professional teams and individuals around the world.

David will share the story of his life and his humble upbringing which played an integral part in his success and resilience. He refers to an inspirational poem that his Mum sent him in 1998 after the All Blacks defeated the Wallabies which became part of his pre-game ritual. It highlights the importance of risk taking and believing in your ability when others around you doubt you.
