Event description

Description

Brain Training for Creative Thinking (Bright Minds Years 4 -5)

Creative thinking means looking at something in a new way. It is the very definition of ‘thinking outside the box.’ Some people are naturally more creative than others, but creative thinking can be strengthened with practice. These creativity building activities are inspired by the book "How to have Creative Ideas" by Edward de Bono. During this workshop, students will engage in practical challenges to stimulate, boost and develop their creativity.

Location: Queensland Academies Creative Industries Campus (61 Musk Avenue, Kelvin Grove)

Date: Thursday, 28 June 2018

Time: 4.00 pm – 5.30 pm

Cost: $30.00

Capacity: 26

Students are required to wear comfortable clothes, enclosed shoes, with hair tied back, and bring a drink. All other materials are supplied.

This workshop seeks to:

  • explicitly explore the concept of perspective
  • strengthen creativity skills
  • provide students with the opportunity to develop thinking skills including those associated with metacognition.
