Event description

Description

Have you ever wanted to know more about how the brain works? Would you like to see your brain waves? Fancy a tour through a Mega Body? Keen to chat with local neuroscientists over a bite to eat?

Join us for Brain Food, a National Science Week event held by the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences at the University of Adelaide. Interactive booths and the Mega Body will be set up in the Inkarni Wardli atrium, adjacent to the Maths Lawns, immediately in front of the Barr Smith South Library off of Frome Rd. Bring your family along to this free, family-friendly day that will immediately follow our hugely popular Kids Navigate Neuroscience event. Have a bite to eat from local food trucks and learn more about the human brain as you wander around our booths and meet some of Adelaide's leading neuroscientists. We'll also have a face painter and balloon artists showing off their skills at making neurons. And Popsicool will be on hand for a "Brain Freeze" challenge!

The first 250 attendees will receive a free canvas "Brain Food" bag :)

There is no cost for the event (although food is at your own expense), but please book in, so we have some idea of numbers.

This project received grant support from the Australian Government.
