About this Event
Free online symposium
COVID has presented and exposed many complex issues for both migrants and researchers in migration studies. Join us for a 1-day symposium where HDRs and graduate researchers from a range of disciplines will discuss ideas of borders, categories and mobilities. The event is open to all researchers, academics, students and the public. Please join us as we discuss the following themes:
1) Migration policy, governance, racism, integration and assimilation
2) Migrants’ subjectivities and diversity in transit or settlement experiences
3) Epistemological disobedience in researching borders and human displacement
4) ‘Normalities’ of migration before and after COVID-19
