Event description
Join Pip Lincolne and Sophie Hansen for a glass of sparkling, snacks and chats as we launch their new books at the Bowmont in Franklin .

About this event

Two new books rolled into one event! Join Pip Lincolne and Sophie Hansen, and me, Michelle Crawford at the Bowmont in Franklin to share a glass of bubbles and chat about their new books.

Days Like These by Pip Lincolne is an uplifting guide to supporting yourself and other mums you know. Let bestselling author Pip Lincolne remind you that it's fine to go slow as she helps you shift expectations (so many expectations!), drop the guilt, choose fresh ways to measure success, find yourself again and remember the things that delight you in the everyday. Because you are not alone and sometimes we all need a reminder that we're doing our best on this life-changing journey called motherhood.

In Good Company by Sophie Hansen features 120 recipes that are simple, tasty and perfect for sharing. Sophie also includes ideas for creating a memorable atmosphere for any gathering, large or small, plus advice on how to embrace shortcuts to take the pressure off, so you can focus on enjoying the good times rather than stressing in the kitchen.

In Good Company is filled with all the recipes and inspiration you need to encourage you to throw open your doors and invite people in, because there's never been a better time to bring people together.

Organiser Michelle Crawford

Organiser of Books, Chats and Snacks at the Bowie with Sophie Hansen and Pip Lincolne

Michelle is a Tasmanian food writer, food stylist, and photographer. Lured by Tasmania’s incredible produce, she moved with her husband with baby in tow from Sydney in 2004, where they pursued the good life: bought an old farmer’s cottage, raised chickens, planted a small orchard and vegetable garden and cooked on a wood-fired stove.

Since then Michelle has worked as a cook, food stylist and recipe developer. She has written features on Tasmanian food stories published in many leading Australian magazines, written four cookbooks and worked as a food stylist for many Tasmanian companies, cooks and chefs for television, print media and digital. Michelle has also curated food focused events and festivals such as the Taste of Tasmania, Huon Valley Midwinter Fest and MONA Market.

Michelle recently sold the farm and bought an enormous old Edwardian bank in the village of Franklin. Known as the Bowie, she’s created a food-focused photography and event studio where she happily, cooks, styles and shoots content, still inspired by the incredible produce on her doorstep.
