Book Launch: The Ten Pound Poms

John van Weenen OMT MBE is the author of several books such as The Definitive Guide to Shotokan Karate, Advanced Shotokan Karate Kata, Task force Albania an Odyssey, and Victims of Love.

In his latest book, John shares the true-story of the adventures and ordeals he and his two brothers experienced fifty-four-years ago when they emigrated to Australia.

The Ten Pound Poms, as most assisted British migrants became known, is the story about more than just the small number of individuals portrayed in this book.
