Professor Anton Middelberg, Deputy Vice Chancellor & Vice President (Research), of the University of Adelaide is our honoured guest who will launch the following books, authored and co-edited by School of Education academic staff.

The Models of Engaged Learning and Teaching: Connecting Sophisticated Thinking from Early Childhood to PhD by Dr John Willison

The Models of Engaged Learning and Teaching discusses a practical philosophy for promoting students' sophisticated thinking from Early Childhood to PhD in ways that explicitly interconnect across the years of education.

Critical Perspectives on Teaching, Learning and Leadership: Enhancing Educational Outcomes co-edited by Associate Professor Mathew A. White and Professor Faye McCallum

This book addresses the significant problems that can arise for pre-service teachers, teachers and school leaders who are unprepared for the complexities of 21st century teaching. Featuring ten chapters written by nine academics from one of the School of Education’s research groups.

Wellbeing and Resilience Education: COVID-19 and Its Impact on Education co-edited by Associate Professor Mathew A. White and Professor Faye McCallum

This book engages with the immediate impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and the theoretical and applied elements of wellbeing and resilience education. Featuring thirteen chapters written by 27 academics from across the globe, it includes new transdisciplinary research by organisational psychologists, psychologists, neuroscientists, policy experts and education researchers.

The Body, Embodiment, and Education: An Interdisciplinary Approach edited by Dr Steven A. Stolz

The gap between embodiment and education by exploring conceptualisations of the body and embodiment from interdisciplinary perspectives. Featuring nine chapters written by 21 contributions from international experts in philosophy, sociology, and psychology, as well as emerging areas in related fields, such as embodied cognition, neuroscience, cognitive science, this book sets a new research agenda in education and educational research.
