Event description

Description

Bonnie D. Stroir's version of a Henry Rollins style spoken word event, with Q and A session.

Bonnie started in derby in 2003 and retired from the sport in 2013. In that time she wore all of the hats: skater, league founder, traveling international Coach, blogger and contributing writer to derby magazines and books. Known for the quote "We ruin our bodies to save our souls," and the famous "Puppy Talk," Bonnie's commitment to derby was inspired by a vision of how positively a generation and network of wise, bold, fully empowered people could impact the future of not only the people involved, but society as a whole.

To that end, Bonnie's intention was and is to reach both the hearts and minds of today's alphas: making it known that roller derby can serve as not only a sport, but catalyst for personal reflection, growth and ultimately, greatness. Greatness that would ultimately ripple out and effect many more than we realize at present time.

The intention of the event is to educate, inspire, and enjoy stories about life and passion, in the context of roller derby.

Both current and retired skaters encouraged to attend. Refs, supporters, friends, fans are also welcome.

No refunds are available but tickets are transferable.
