Bond University Highschool Model United Nations (BUHMUN) Conference
Event Information
About this Event
Bond University’s Faculty of Society & Design is pleased to host the 2021 Bond University High School Model United Nations (BUHMUN) Conference at Bond University’s Gold Coast Campus.
In 2021 BUHMUN will be taking place over two days, Tuesday 11th May and Wednesday 12th May 2021. A Model UN, or MUN, is a simulation-based learning exercise that will see High School delegates adopt the persona of an allocated country and subsequently represent that country during a simulation of UN proceedings.
BUHMUN conference theme 2021
The conference theme for this year's BUHMUN will be centred around Sustainable Development Goal 5 – Achieving Gender Equality and Empowering Women and Girls.
BUHMUN aims to replicate the work and procedures of the United Nations by following the UN4MUN procedure which was developed by the UN’s Dept. of Public Information. That being said, BUHMUN is not your traditional Model UN Conference. BUHMUN will be a summit style meeting of the General Assembly with each committee addressing different topics.
