Event description

Description

The Boeing 777 is a very popular aircraft with airlines and pilots and has a terrific safety record.

However, it is also a very complex aircraft with a multitude of systems and interlocking safeguards which need to be thoroughly understood and correctly used if trouble arises and action needs to be taken. So, the crew needs to be fully trained up and on the ball if perhaps a minor problem is not to become a major disaster.

Our speaker for this event is Graham Hartree who, apart from being a very experienced pilot on the 777 and other major airliners, spent many years as Senior Training Officer of Emirates Airlines training their 777 pilots to the highest standard.

Those who have experienced previous talks by Graham will be aware of his depth of knowledge and expertise in all aspects of the operation of these aircraft and his clear exposition of principles and practice.

Join us for another entertaining evening with an acknowledged expert in the field of aviation and learn why current aircraft are so safe – depending on the abilities of the pilot of course!

As usual, we shall have coffee, tea, and biscuits available while talking aeroplanes.
