Liverpool/Fairfield ECICP would like to invite you to a half day workshop ‘Body, Brain, Belonging: the Story of Behaviour’. This interactive workshop is open to Educators in Early Education and Care Services in South West Sydney. This workshop focuses on emotional and behavioural regulation in children.

The aim of the workshop is for participants to:

  • Develop a self-regulation ‘toolkit’ with practical tips for working with children
  • Understand behaviour through the lens of emotional regulation
  • Identify evidence-based approaches to self-regulation
  • Consider how physical spaces can be modified to promote regulation

About the presenter: Kate Piromalli

Kate is a School Link Coordinator and Senior Occupational Therapist. She has over ten years’ experience in providing both consultant and direct clinical intervention supporting children, families, school and pre-school communities with challenges specific to the well-being of children, particularly with managing self-regulation difficulties. Kate is experienced in working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental difficulties, including children affected by developmental trauma. She is also experienced in working with children whose parents/carers experience mental health difficulties and children who experience anxiety and depression.
