Body Mapping - Identity and Aspirations

Is a visual storytelling workshop aimed at young people 12-18 years of age.

Through this workshop each student will learn about visual storytelling techniques and processes, including developing a unique visual language while investigating and exploring the theme, Identity and Aspirations. This newly developed visual language will be situated and embodied within an outline of their drawn bodies, identifying where it sits, how it feels and what it looks like.

This will be achieved during a 3-hour workshop where each participant will be introduced to visual art materials and processes, while being guided through the theme to determine their visual responses.

Each student will be supported in a safe and nurturing environment, where all forms of visual expression will be fostered.

All materials will be provided, including the completed Body Maps to be taken home.
