Description

Blume Illustration Festival will bring many of the Blue Mountain's outstanding local talents together with their colleagues, related professionals and admirers to present Australia’s first national arts festival that is dedicated solely and broadly, to the art of Illustration. Blume will be an intimate and welcoming festival where you can meet, greet, listen and learn with the artists whether you are an illustrator, student or a curious admirer.

Tickets include a day packed with panel events and presentations from 9.30am till 4.30pm with over 20 iminent guest illustrators and presenters, Winsor & Newton art materials expo and a lunch of 3 delicious home cooked soups and crustry breads. Ticket holders are also invited to attend the festival opening exhibitions at David Rex Livingston Art + Space and Gallery One 88 from 5pm Friday May 26 and ticketed dinner after for $55 PP ( drinks extra) at Palette Dining Katoomba from 7pm ( Book with the resturant direct - limited seats so book early or miss out)

Workshops are clustered around the weekend festival - there are limited numbers for each, so book early or you may miss out. Workshops tickets are listed as individual events on Eventbrite as Blume Illustrated Workshops, and linked back to them on blumeillustrated.com.au/workshops

The Blume Festival main venue is the conference space at the beautiful, Art Deco YHA in Katoomba, with exhibitions, workshops and other events in the town's many cafe's, restuarants and galleries. Workshops will also be held in Blue Mountains Cultural Centre workshop space in Parke Street, Katoomba on Sunday and include Experimental Illustration with Emma Magenta, Jude Martinez with Winsor & Newton supplying materials. James Gordon will be running his Paper Cut Illustration workshop from 2.30 till 5.30pm at the YHA venue.

The historic township of Katoomba is a 2 hours drive or train trip, west of Sydney in the Unesco listed Blue Mountains, famed for it's scenic beauty. Why not take an extra day or two either side of the festival to explore this unique and fascinating wilderness area?

With a Saturday packed with panel events, workshops, presentations, exhibitions and food, the first Blume Illustration Festival is set to be a sell out event, so get your tickets and workshop tickets fast.

There is plenty of parking YHA or in surrounding streets near YHA, or at Coles carpark in Parke Street or surrounding streets for BMCC workshops. 5 min walk from train station: Katoomba

What's the refund policy?

Tickets numbers are strictly limited: Up to 30 days before the event: 50% refund. 30 days to 14 days before the event 30% refund. 14 days and less prior to the event - no refund.
