Description
Bloody Serious Facts is a face to face, hands-on workshop developed by healthcare professionals and people
with lived experience of hepatitis C specifically for AOD workers, nurses,
NSP workers, community health staff, students of health professions, prison staff, welfare workers and
anyone else working with people who are at risk of or are affected by Hepatitis C.
It is a 2.5-hour session that covers :
- An Intro to Hep C- Testing, Transmission, Diagnoses and Treatment
- The Impact & Meaning of Being Hep C + - An insight into living with Hep C and the treatment journey by a person with lived experience.
- A Practical Exercise - The not so obvious risks of transmission during the mixing up and injecting process.
- A short case study.
