Bite Foodies Book Club - Coffs Harbour
Event Information
About this Event
Love food and love eating it, reading about it and talking about it?
Join our BITE BOOK CLUB for foodlovers in Coffs Harbour!
Previously based in Sydney's Newtown, the aim of Bite Book Club is to gather like-minded foodlovers to talk about the book of the month - and all things food-related - in a relaxed conversational space, with coffee and food to purchase.
Book of the Month
Bite Book Club's Book of the Month is WHAT SHE ATE – Six Remarkable Women and the Food That Tells Their Stories.
Author and food writer Laura Shapiro examines the plates, recipe books, and shopping trolleys of six women – Dorothy Wordsworth, Rosa Lewis, Eleanor Roosevelt, Evan Braun, Barbara Pym and Helen Gurley Brown – to share their stories through a food lens.
Laura Shapiro's book reveals the love and rage, desire and denial, need and pleasure of each of these women. Should be a great discussion!
With December a crazy-busy time for us all, you can dip into this book and read as many or as few of these six stories as time allows.
Because this title is an older book release, the easiest and lowest cost way to purchase it is in Kindle format from Amazon.com.au
You don’t need to own a Kindle, you can read it on your smart phone (iPhone or Android) or device using the Kindle App – or you can read it on your computer.
You can buy the Kindle version here: Amazon Australia
Please make a booking as numbers are limited to 10.
