Event Details

Please note: this workshop is for GP's and Nurse Practitioners onlyThis workshop will focus on the management of upper and lower limb injuries and fractures. This includes theory and a hands-on plaster and splint workshop. Attendees will also have the opportunity to learn and upskill or refresh IV iron infusion and cannulation.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Review the assessment and management of common upper and lower limb fractures and soft tissue injuries in general practice
  • Demonstrate practical splint application techniques for finger /hand /wrist /knee /ankle.
  • Review the principles of quality back slab application for common fractures of upper/lower limb, including templates for cutting.
  • Identify and review local HealthPathways for upper and lower limb injuries.
  • Review and practice IV cannulation and iron infusion procedures.
