About this Event

Len Howard Conservation Park  in the Peel Inlet (City of Mandurah). We will be looking for bush birds and water birds.

Len Howard Conservation Park is a bit of a hidden gem for bird watching in Mandurah. Often a few unusual birds turn up here over summer. It will be one of the last chances to see migratory waders before they return to the northern hemisphere and we often see Regent Parrot at this location. Some of the birds we may see include: Chestnut Teal, Banded Stilt, Red-necked Avocet, Whimbrel, Eastern Curlew, Sharp-tailed Sandpiper, and Regent Parrot.

Local birdwatching guide Robyn Pickering will take you on a guided walk around Len Howard Conservation Park to view a variety of water birds and bush birds. Finish with a relaxed cuppa and chat.

The maximum group size of 6 ensures everyone receives a quality and relaxed experience. Suitable for beginners and more advanced bird watchers. Binoculars can be borrowed for the walk and a spotting scope (telescope) is available for the group to share.
