Birdwatching at Korung National Park, Carmel, Western Australia
Event Information
About this Event
Friday 9 April: Victoria Reservoir Road in Korung National Park in Carmel (City of Kalamunda). This site is brilliant for many of the south west endemic species that are in the Perth area. We will do quite a long walk here up and down a hill on an unsealed path so you will need an average level of fitness.
Birds possible include: Square-tailed Kite, Carnaby's Black-Cockatoo, Baudin's Black-Cockatoo, Western Rosella, Red-capped parrot, Red-winged fairy-wren, Western Wattlebird, Western Spinebill, Gilbert's Honeyeater, Western Whistler, White-breasted Robin, Western Yellow Robin and Red-eared Firetail.
Local birdwatching guide Robyn Pickering will take you on a guided walk around Len Howard Conservation Park to view a variety of water birds and bush birds. Finish with a relaxed cuppa and chat.
The maximum group size of 6 ensures everyone receives a quality and relaxed experience. Suitable for beginners and more advanced bird watchers. Binoculars can be borrowed for the walk and a spotting scope (telescope) is available for the group to share.
The exact meeting point will be provided in the ticket confirmation email.
