Event description

Description

Join us for a series of informative workshops suitable for novices through to experienced birders. Your participation will assist with monitoring birds and the overall environmental health of the SA Murray-Darling Basin region.

The workshops are separated into four parts over a four week period. Ideally beginners should attend all four workshops. These workshops aren't a repeat of information - you'll learn something new at each one! But there will be some notes available if you cannot attend them all.

Beginner birder sessions

The beginner sessions will provide information on how to identify different bird species, undertake a survey and contribute meaningful data:

  • there are four workshops to attend during June. All workshops are run on a Friday from 6pm to 8pm
  • the dates are Friday 2, 9, 16 and 23
  • the last two beginner sessions will be run in conjunction with the advanced sessions

Advanced birder sessions

The more advanced sessions will provide identification practice using calls and images for species more difficult to differentiate and more detailed information on survey techniques, including waterfowl surveys.

  • there are two workshops to attend during June. All workshops are run on a Friday from 6pm to 8pm
  • the dates are Friday 16 and 23.

To book your place select the ticket type suited to your experience level as either beginner or advanced.

Light refreshments will be provided.
