Event description

Description

Struggled with getting your head around Biology so far? Scared you’ll get left behind as the year progresses?

In this HSC Kickstarter Holiday Workshop, we’re going to help you master the hardest parts of what you’ve already learnt so you’re prepared to ace the HSC heading into the future.

This workshop will be delivered in a live, interactive online format with an experienced teacher.

In this 3 hour workshop during the school holidays on Friday 17th April from 1:00pm-4:00pm, we will help you:

  • Master mutations, genetic variations, cloning, & DNA tech

  • Develop a strong understanding of pathogens and Koschs postulates, immunity, prevention, treatment and control

  • Learn how to apply all of this to HSC-style questions!

Why is it important to master this now?

The next time you’ll also need to apply Hereditary Module 6 will be in your Trials when you’ll need to review EVERYTHING. So it’s a good idea to knock these questions over where they stand now, rather than try to remember what the sticking points were before the HSC Trial!

What’s included?

  • 3-hour workshop run by an incredible teacher

  • Small personalised class – so you’re not one of 100 students in a big lecture room. We cap the sessions at 12 students maximum

  • Lesson notes and practice questions to help you master HSC Bio!

How can I attend and what is the cost?

Seats are strictly limited to 12 spots, so book your place in our class today!

Investment: $120 (incl GST) for 3 hour workshop
Date: Friday 17th April
Time: 1-4pm

Covid 19 Update:

Due to ongoing concerns around COVID-19, this workshop will be delivered digitally via an online web conferencing platform and online whiteboard to ensure students and families can stay safe and healthy.

Workshop Teacher:

Ken has a PhD with a focus on Biology as well as a Bachelor of Biotechnology (Honours) and Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from the University of Technology Sydney. Ken has over 5 years of teaching experience supporting students from small classes through to workshops of over 150 students! With the new HSC Science syllabi bringing in concepts from a University level, Ken brings his extensive post-graduate knowledge into the HSC course to help students excel!
