About this event

Join us for a free family-friendly BioBlitz at Greenwood Lakes, Forestdale.

At the Greenwood Lakes Bioblitz event an environmental expert from Logan City Council will teach participants how to use the popular citizen science app, iNaturalist.

Once you know how to use the iNaturalist app you’ll be ready to help create an extensive species list for Greenwood Lakes by wandering through and recording as many plants and animals as you can using the iNaturalist app.

If you’re not familiar with any of the plants and animals, that doesn’t matter, as other users on iNaturalist can identify the observations for you.

An environmental expert from Logan City Council will be available to assist participants in locating and identifying flora and fauna. Check in starts at 8am and the event concludes at 12pm.

Please note: There are NO toilet facilities at Greenwood Lakes.
