Bio-Nano Computer Simulation & Modelling Workshop
Monday, 18 January 2016 from 9:00 am to 4:40 pm (AEDT)
Welcome to the 2016 Bio-Nano Computer Simulation/Modelling Workshop, a forum of in silico and statistical perspectives presented by a group of accomplished and up-and-coming scientists from Australia and abroad.
During this event the workshop attendees will be introduced to state-of-the-art computational and theoretical methodologies that have reshaped our understanding of biological systems, soft and condensed matter, and the bio-nano interface, at the atomic, molecular, cellular and systems levels. Such insight overcomes the physical limitations imposed by statistical averaging and resolution of experimentation, and its predictive power has been shown indispensable to advancing research in polymer science, materials, biology, nanobiotechnology and medicine.
Join the hosts and speakers here at Monash Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences and the ARC Centre of Excellence in Convergent Bio-Nano Science and Technology for a day of presentations, discussions, and exchanges of research and collaboration ideas.
The schedule for the workshop is displayed below. Please click here to download abstracts from the listed speakers.
When & Where
The ARC Centre of Excellence in Convergent Bio-Nano Science & Technology
The ARC Centre of Excellence in Convergent Bio-Nano Science and Technology is a national innovator in bio-nano sciences and an incubator of the expertise and technological excellence required to develop next generation bio-responsive nanomaterials.
The Centre is directed by Professor Tom Davis at the Monash Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences and has nodes across five Australian universities, including Monash University, University of Melbourne, University of Queensland, University of New South Wales, and the University of South Australia.
