7.10pm - Cyrille Pennavaire - Fletcher Construction - Best-practice on (open)BIM use from the Netherlands: the Federated Hamburger & the basic Information Delivery Manual.

Although BIM is not mandatory in the Netherlands, the AECO industry has quickly adopted the use of BIM in the past decade. The use of Aspect models and open standards such as IFC and BCF (BIM Collaboration Format) is common practice. In 2016 an industry led open BIM initiative was launched, and has been adopted by over 200 companies within a timespan of just a year. The introduction of a 'basic IDM' (Information Delivery Manual) is not 'new', but merely a simple translation of how to use the open standards effectively, so that essential information can be shared in a structured manner between organisations collaborating within a project. The use of open Standards and the basic IDM will be explained using best-practise examples from the ‘Space-S’ and ‘Blok 63’ projects.

7:30 pm Open floor discussion

Subject to time constraints, it is proposed to have an Open Floor Discussion, like we have done previously, for anyone to come forward with any issues they would like to discuss and to problem solve.

If any of these discussion topics are of a complex nature, then please e-mail them through to the BIMsiNZ Committee before the meeting at glenn.jowett@beca.com

7:40 pm Networking

Following the presentations, networking will take place downstairs in the Kahakura building with refreshments kindly provided by our event sponsors for the evening, Ignite, Jacobs and the University of Auckland
