Bill Leak – Opening Night!
Event Information
About this Event
We are very excited to announce the first event to be held in our new exhibition space! It’s been quite a journey, but well worth it- and we can’t wait to share it with you!
Opening night for the Bill Leak exhibition is Friday 5 February at 6:30 pm. We invite you to join us for canapés, drinks and a laugh (or gasp) as you explore the exhibition, the new premises and the wittiest set of cartoons you’ll ever see.
Bookings are essential – $20 includes Canapés entry to the Bill Leak exhibition and The Rotary Cartoon Awards (Downstairs). Purchase tickets by phoning or dropping into the gallery – 66 517 343. Tickets can also be purchased here via eventbrite (please note online purchases will incur a small processing fee). Limited tickets – Book Now!
In Bill’s words “Freedom of speech is the freedom to offend and that means the freedom to offend anyone.’ A brave sentiment – so we look forward to a wide variety of audience reactions! The exhibition will also feature a fantastic selection of works from Bill’s son Johannes who is so capably following in his father’s footsteps as Cartoonists for The Australian. The exhibition will be on display until 30 May – Don’t miss your opportunity to see the talking piece that is the Bill Leak exhibition.
