IMPORTANT INFO FOR RACERS

Bike Nights are run under an IHRA Australia sanction. The following rules are in place for all riders.

RIDER SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

Street Motorcycles, 9.50 and slower

Approved full-face helmet – ECE 22.05 or AS/NZS 1698:2006 as a minimum. The old AS 1698 standard is not allowed. That standard is now 11 years out of date. Open-face helmets are not allowed

Leather or purpose-made motorcycle riding jacket; leather or purpose-made motorcycle riding gloves; leather or purpose-made motorcycle riding long pants; and leather or purpose-made motorcycle riding boots that fully cover the ankles. Elastic-sided boots are not permitted. Hoodies are not permitted.

All Motorcycles, 9.49 and quicker

Rider’s protective equipment must comply with relevant IHRA Australia Competition regulations. Rider requires IHRA Australia licence. Motorcycle requires IHRA Australia Logbook

NOTES

Note 1: All riders must hold the appropriate level of civil motorcycle licence, either provisional or unrestricted.

Note 2: Holders of a Learner Rider Licence, Provisional P1 Rider Licence or Provisional P2 Rider Licence may only compete on a LAMS-approved motorcycle.

Note 3: All riders are restricted to ride motorcycles with engine capacities as determined by their civil licence.

Note 4: A civil car licence will not be accepted for motorcycle competitors.
