Description

BETTER TOGETHER 2018

Inaugural national conference of The Equality Project

Early bird registration is now available for the 2-day conference from 12-13 January 2018 for $149.

The conference will explore current issues facing the LGBTIQ movement, bringing together voices from women’s rights, indigenous rights, disability, the Deaf community, and multicultural and faith groups.

Our goal is to create a truly intersectional discussion about achieving meaningful social change to create a fairer, more equal and more just Australia.

A number of pre-conference training sessions are being planned to help develop the capacity and skills of emerging leaders in the Australian LGBTIQ community.

Fees for the training institute from 10-11 January 2018 will be available once the program is finalised.

The conference will be Auslan interpreted including the training/workshop sessions as required. Auslan is the sign language of the Australian Deaf community.

Further information about the conference program will be available in the next few months. Please subscribe for updates here: The Equality Project

The Equality Project is a new, national organisation bringing together LGBTIQ people with our allies across the social justice movement, to advocate for a better, more just, and fairer society for all.

Our biennial conference, Better Together, will create a space for our voices to be heard and a platform for collaborative action.
