Better Management for Knee OsteoArthritis
Event Information
About this Event
This seminar will be addressing how to better manage Knee Osteoarthritis. Osteoarthritis is a very common condition, where the cartilage at the end of bone starts to wear away over time. OA is often very painful and debilitating, and can lead to surgical procedures including Total Knee Replacements.
This seminar will be hosted by our experienced Senior Exercise Physiologist, Rhiannon Walton. With eight years of experience across the hospital and private practice settings Rhiannon has extensive experience with knee osteoarthritis, pre-total knee replacements and post-knee replacements.
Rhiannon herself has personal experience with knee pain, having lived with recurrent patella dislocations since 9 years of age, leaving her with the early onset of high grade osteoarthritis at the age of 29years old. After two major knee surgeries, several years of personal rehabilitation, a University degree in Exercise Physiology and her ongoing professional development, Rhiannon has a wealth of knowledge that she would like to share with her clients.
