This workshop covers the principles that will help you design legal information for people with reading difficulties. It explains ‘Easy English’ and how the use of text and images can convey information simply and directly.
About the presenter
Cathy Basterfield is an experienced Speech Pathologist and published author, with a background of 28 years working with people with Complex Communication Needs and Easy English.
Cathy was involved in the development of the first guidelines for writing Easy English in Australia and has a national and international reputation in the development of Easy English. Cathy owns and operates Access Easy English, working with government, non-government agencies and businesses in their implementation of Easy English.
