Launch of UOW Best Practice in HDR Supervision – 11 December 2019

The Dean of Research, Professor Tim Marchant, invites all HDR supervisors and support staff to the launch of UOW Best Practice in HDR Supervision at 2.30pm on Wednesday 11 December 2019, followed by afternoon tea in the Building 20 Foyer.

The Best Practice in HDR Supervisor initiative recognises and showcases exemplary practice in HDR supervision at UOW. Academics featured in this initiative will provide a brief overview of their practice.

The event will be launched by DVCR&I Professor Jenny Martin, followed by a keynote talk by Professor Debra Myhill of the University of Exeter (UOE), England. Professor Myhillis Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences and a recipient of Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) Award for Outstanding Impact in Society (2014). She was Pro Vice-Chancellor for Social Sciences and International Studies in 2014-19 of UOE.
