About the Instructor:

Sarah Atkinson cofounded Pragmateam to provide Agile transformation, training and delivery services to large organisations, technology start-ups and government agencies. Sarah led Agile Transformation at Commonwealth Bank and her team has since worked Australian Government’s Digital Transformation Office, Hey You, Expert360, SBS On Demand and Tyro Payments. Sarah is a practitioner and realist at heart. Curiosity, experimentation and pragmatism are at the core of Sarah’s DNA. Passionate about supporting leaders to achieve their strategic goals, Sarah enjoys working with teams on the ground to increase their capability through delivery. Workshop logistics: This workshop is one day and is limited to twelve participants. Sarah delivers the course in person, weaving in real-life examples from her experience working with project teams at large corporates, government and high-growth technology start-ups. This is a very practical workshop and participants will develop a best-practice agile implementation plan for their business on the day. This workshop is held in an awesome boardroom in the Sydney CBD and runs from 9am– 5.30pm with short breaks. Lunch, morning and afternoon tea is provided.

  • Introducing a company-wide two speed planning cadence
  • Understanding user needs, creating team ownership
  • Unpacking the solution
  • Iterative vs incremental, build/measure/learn
  • Story mapping and prioritisation techniques

Module 3: Effective Delivery

  • Agile operating model and ceremonies
  • Focusing on flow of work
  • Visualization techniques
  • Tracking and forecasting
  • Addressing quality as we go, Definition of Done

Module 4: Creating a Learning Culture, Continuous improvement

  • Product - experiments, hypotheses, data driven decisions
  • Process - blockers, root cause analysis, retrospectives
  • People - company wide goals, peer reward and recognition
