Event description

Description

Discover the autumn colours of Bendora Arboretum on a guided tour. Located just over an hour from the centre of Canberra, the Bendora Arboretum is the sole surviving arboretum in the Brindabella ranges after others were destroyed in the 2003 bushfires.

Estalblished in 1940, the arboretum hosts over 40 exotic species, including some critically endangered cypress, spruce and fir. Many of the trees are over 75 years old and provide a compelling glimpse at what the National Arboretum will look like in years to come.

This event is part of the Canberra and Region Heritage Festival and is a great opportunity to explore the stories connected to our city. To see the full Festival program and find more great events, visit www.act.gov.au/heritagefestival.

Bookings are essential as places are limited. This is a great family event and all ages are welcome! For further information, call Namadgi Visitors Centre on 6207 2900.
