Event description

Description

"Shared Lives" is a free and comprehensive two-day workshop designed to help you become the best foster carer you can be. It's an opportunity to ask everything you want to know about fostering, as well as an accredited training for all of those who want to become authorised foster carers in NSW.

Shared Lives will take place on December 8 and 9 (Saturday & Sunday), from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.

  • To reserve your seat, you need to click on the big green button "Register". Please make sure your contact details are correct as we will need to contact you over the phone before the event.

  • Attendance on both days is essential. In case you cannot attend one of the days, please remember you'll need to wait until the next session is available in your region so you can complete your training. The first day must be completed before you can attend the second day.

  • Have the best interest of children in care in mind before registering. We have limited spots available so please do your best to attend once registered. Please notify CASPA if you need to cancel (email cancellations to fostercare@caspa.asn.au).

  • You are under no obligation to become a foster carer if you attend this course.

Thanks in advance for your registration. : )

Shared Lives is an interactive training that gives you the chance to ask all questions you might have about having a young person under your care for short or long periods of time. It focuses on the challenges, rewards, rights, and duties of foster carers in NSW. The workshop is also a great chance to learn about education, trauma and children development.

For more information about foster care, please go to http://www.caspa.asn.au/become-foster-carer.

If you wish to talk to CASPA's Coffs Harbour office, please call Kirra on 0409 798 619.
