Event description

Description

The counselling conversation at life’s end is a journey of discovery and partially a process of creating meaning. This therapy is not set out to find meaning as such, since meaning it’s not hidden or lost. Rather, meaning is something to be created by the willingness to proceed as if certain things that must be, are.

This workshop delves into existential therapy; wisdom traditions and person centred counselling practices to provide companionship and witness to clients in the last stages of their lives. Working with clients who are grieving the loss of loved ones or who have a relative who is dying will also be addressed. Therapy with the dying is not necessarily about technical competency. Instead, it is facilitation of an authentic and often painful conversation, or other times by just by our presence.

Lunch is catered for this workshop.
