This new workshop is open for all current or prospective graduate student representatives and any other graduate researchers who are interested in learning more about university governance.

Coordinated by the RED team, this workshop will introduce participants to new ideas about: 

• the ways universities operate and the important place of graduate researchers within them
• the organisational structure at La Trobe
• key policies and fora for graduate researchers
• how to be an effective student representative
• available referral pathways

Why should I attend?

After this session, you will be more confident about acting as a student representative and change-maker at La Trobe. You will be able to identify key institutional policies and will understand referral pathways.

Who should attend?

Any La Trobe University graduate researchers interested in being a student representative.
