Description

Join Jess Bamford from Joe's Connected Garden as she hosts her first beginners mushroom cultivation workshop for 2018. This workshop goes beyond cultivation and into biology, ecology, basic identification + more.
Jess has recieved great reviews from previous attendees on her infectious love & enthusiasum for the world of fungi, as well as the quality of her mushroom growing kits.
(This will be the last workshop until Autumn 2018.)

This workshop will cover:
- Basic biology & ecology of fungi.
- Demonstration of how to make your own oyster mushroom growing kit using straw, as well as other basic cultivation methods.
- Hands on outdoor mushroom patch demonstration & growing mushrooms in raised beds/pot plants.
- How to utilize & promote wild fungi in your garden.
- Basic identification + ethics of foraging wild fungi (identifying groups, local edible fungi and taking spore prints.)

Cost includes 1 x entry to the workshop plus:
1 x make-your-own oyster mushroom kit (choose your variety on the day.)

TICKET COSTS:
1 x Adult ticket + make your own oyster mushroom kit: $25+booking fee
Kids (Under 16) gain FREE entry to the workshop with an adult ticket purchase.
